The Rejtő Sándor Faculty of Óbuda University and the Debrecen-based SZ-Variáns Csomagolástechnikai Kft. have signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The partnership aims to provide university students with up-to-date, practice-oriented knowledge and experience in a real industrial environment, while creating new opportunities for the development of sustainable packaging solutions.
The agreement was signed by the Dean of the Rejtő Sándor Faculty and János Szakál, Managing Director of SZ-Variáns Csomagolástechnikai Kft. The cooperation strengthens the connection between higher education and industry, supporting students’ professional development and facilitating the integration of practical corporate experience into their studies.
As part of the partnership, students will have the opportunity to participate in real-world project assignments and Student Research Society (TDK) activities, as well as to access professional internship and future career opportunities. An important element of the cooperation is also joint research and development, with a particular focus on sustainable packaging solutions.
Founded 20 years ago as a family business, SZ-Variáns Csomagolástechnikai Kft. has grown into a company serving more than 300 domestic and international partners with quality boxes and paper bags. The company’s extensive industry experience, combined with Óbuda University’s expertise in engineering education and research and development, provides a strong foundation for cooperation in both education and innovation.
The partnership will enable future engineers to gain first-hand experience of industrial and corporate challenges during their studies and to develop knowledge and competencies that can contribute to the creation of sustainable and innovative industrial solutions.
