A new postgraduate programme focusing on sustainable resource management has officially launched at the Rejtő Faculty of Óbuda University. Managed by the Institute of Environmental Engineering and Natural Sciences, the Waste and Secondary Raw Materials Management Specialist Programme aims to provide up-to-date professional knowledge related to waste management, resource efficiency and the circular economy.
A total of 21 students have enrolled in the programme, beginning their studies with a commitment to environmental protection, sustainable resource use and the preservation of natural values.
Developing expertise for the circular economy
The transition towards a more sustainable economy requires the efficient use of resources, waste prevention and the increased recovery and reuse of materials. These are key elements of the circular economy and play an important role in reducing environmental pressures and preserving natural resources.
The new programme provides an opportunity for students to deepen their professional knowledge in these areas and to better understand the challenges and opportunities associated with modern waste management and the use of secondary raw materials.
The launch of the programme also reflects Óbuda University’s commitment to developing professional competences related to sustainability, environmental protection and responsible resource management.
We wish all 21 students a successful and inspiring learning journey!
