Responsible waste management is one of the cornerstones of a sustainable future, helping to reduce negative impacts on the environment. In addition to reducing its ecological footprint, Obuda University also strives to serve as a role model in sustainable waste management.

Selective Waste Collection
Selective waste collection plays a central role in this process, as it enables the recycling of materials and the recovery of reusable raw resources. Establishing an efficient selective waste collection system is an important strategic goal for the University. The introduction of selective bins not only reduces the amount of waste generated but also contributes to raising environmental awareness.
Properly placed bins, accompanied by clear instructions, help students and employees easily separate different types of waste. As part of the continuously expanding selective waste collection system, indoor selective bins are used at all University sites. A total of 750 indoor selective waste collection bins have been installed based on previously assessed needs.
