The Entrepreneurship Academy, a joint initiative of Óbuda University and OUVC – Obuda Uni Venture Capital, has officially launched, offering participants far more than traditional entrepreneurship training. The program serves as a bridge to the international startup ecosystem, connecting aspiring innovators with investors, mentors, and successful entrepreneurs.
Designed to provide hands-on experience in innovation, venture creation, and startup development, the Academy equips participants with practical knowledge while fostering valuable professional connections. Due to overwhelming interest, the inaugural cohort grew from the originally planned 30 participants to 45 students and researchers representing more than 15 countries.
From day one, the program offers a truly international environment where participants can exchange ideas, learn from diverse perspectives, and develop a global entrepreneurial mindset. Beyond education, the Academy aims to build a collaborative community that encourages innovation, knowledge sharing, and cross-border cooperation.
One of the program’s highlights is the opportunity for the 20 most active participants to travel to Turin in October. There, they will engage with key players of the Italian startup ecosystem at OGR Torino and the Wave by Vento event, gaining exposure to international investors, founders, and innovation leaders.
The Entrepreneurship Academy reflects Óbuda University’s commitment to preparing students and researchers for the challenges of a rapidly evolving innovation economy by providing direct access to global entrepreneurial networks and opportunities.
