Sustainability is not only a global ambition but also a shared responsibility within our local communities. This was clearly demonstrated by students from Székesfehérvár who participated in a sustainability competition recently held at the Alba Regia Faculty, showcasing their creativity, innovative thinking, and commitment to building a more sustainable future.
Throughout the competition, participants developed innovative ideas, designed awareness-raising posters, took part in quizzes, and solved practical challenges related to sustainability. Their projects helped bring the message of sustainable development closer to their peers, local communities, and the citizens of Székesfehérvár.
A total of 19 teams competed in the event, including 8 primary school teams and 11 secondary school teams. The students demonstrated not only their knowledge and creativity but also their strong willingness to contribute to positive environmental and social change.
According to the organizers, the success of the competition confirms that sustainability is a shared priority in the city. Young people possess valuable ideas, fresh perspectives, and a strong motivation to act. By creating opportunities for collaboration and innovation, communities can empower the next generation to become active contributors to a more sustainable future.
The event was made possible through broad collaboration. Alongside Óbuda University’s Alba Regia Faculty and ÓE Nonprofit Ltd., the Municipality of Székesfehérvár, the ProSperis Alba Research Center, several corporate and civil society partners, the Albensis Knowledge Center, and the House of Secrets Science Experience Center all played an active role in bringing the initiative to life.
Congratulations to all participating students for their outstanding achievements and dedication to sustainability.
