In his Bull announcing the Holy Year 2025, His Holiness Pope Francis calls on all Christians to be ‘pilgrims of hope.’ In response, a grassroots community pilgrimage has been organized at Obuda University.
Date: Friday, May 23, 2025 (Feast of Blessed Bishop Vilmos Apor, Martyr)
Destination: Márianosztra, Basilica of Our Lady of Hungarians
Program: Holy Mass and Catechesis, both led by Bishop Emeritus Miklós Beer.
Theme of the catechesis: ‘Anonymous Christianity’
The program, including travel, lasts approximately six hours. Transportation is by regular train service. The pilgrimage is open to all members of the University community, not only to Catholics.
